Baltimore, MD (August 17, 2018) – GWWO is delighted to announce that Bryan Fisher, Kaitlin Pravetz, Kate Scurlock, Kiersten Howe, Pat Fava, and Scott Moir have been named Associates of the firm.
Bryan Fisher joined GWWO in 2008 and today serves as a Project Manager and the firm’s Historic Preservation Specialist. He is an active participant in the preservation community and manages many of the firm’s significant historic preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation projects for some of our nation’s most revered structures and institutions. Notable projects have included the current rehabilitation of George Washington Memorial Parkway’s Arlington House, Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site Tavern rehabilitation, and Smithsonian Institution’s Historic Sellman House rehabilitation. Bryan currently serves as Vice President on the Association for Preservation Technology DC Board of Directors. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree in historic preservation from Goucher College and Master of Architecture degree from the University of Florida.
Kaitlin Pravetz, the firm’s Business Development Manager, focuses her efforts on building lasting and fruitful relationships with key alliances, increasing awareness among potential clients, and growing the firm’s presence in our target markets through attendance at AEC conferences and events. Kaitlin joined GWWO in 2009 as Marketing Assistant, was promoted to Marketing Manager in 2013, and has served in her current role since 2014. Kaitlin is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and serves on the Maryland chapter’s Board of Directors as Director at Large and will serve as Director of Programs in the upcoming year. She graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.
Kate Scurlock joined the firm in 2011 and currently serves as a Project Manager, working on projects that have included cultural, education, arts, and community facilities. Notable projects Kate has managed include Berks Nature’s recently completed The Nature Place in Reading, PA and current management of the Cherry Hill Middle Branch Fitness & Wellness Center in Baltimore City. She also contributed significantly to the design and completion of Frederick High School in Frederick County and Port Canaveral Exploration Tower in Canaveral, FL. Outside of work, Kate has served as a mentor for students at Morgan State University. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University.
Kiersten Howe, the firm’s Marketing Manager, is responsible for spearheading all marketing, communication, and visibility efforts, while continuously ensuring they align with the firm’s strategic goals. Kiersten joined the firm in 2013 as Communications Manager and was promoted to Marketing Manager in 2014. Kiersten is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and serves on the Maryland chapter’s Board of Directors as Director of Communications and will serve as Secretary in the upcoming year. She is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and minor in marketing.
Pat Fava, the firm’s senior Graphics Specialist, combines his architectural background with advanced graphic abilities to produce renderings, walk-thrus, and other graphic materials to support project design and presentation needs. With GWWO since 2012, he is an effective collaborator and has spearheaded the use of new graphic techniques to continuously progress the quality of our work, keeping GWWO at the forefront of industry visualization tools and trends. Pat is an Associate AIA member and serves as an instructor at the Station North Tool Library. He is a graduate of Montana State University with Bachelor of Arts in environmental design and Master of Arts in architecture degrees.
Scott Moir is an experienced Project Manager who has focused his career heavily on the K-12 project sector, with experience in the higher education and cultural sectors as well. With GWWO for 16 years, he has managed and seen to fruition many of our client’s projects, including the recent Relay, Westowne, and Lyons Mill Elementary Schools in Baltimore County, and the renovation and expansion of Towson University’s Burdick Hall. In his earlier years, he also worked significantly on the Dunbar High School renovation in Baltimore City and George Washington’s Mount Vernon Orientation & Museum Complex in Mount Vernon, VA. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
