 Event Recap:  The Ultimate Gingerbread Design Contest Winners Announced

Last Thursday, we enjoyed a wonderful turnout for our winter fundraiser, “The Ultimate Gingerbread Design Competition“.

Our guests enjoyed two festive cocktail demos, with architectural designer and mixologist Nikolas Hill and our virtual audience watched as eight teams battled for the top prize, showing off their dazzling designs through the medium of video!

Announcing Our 2020 Ultimate Gingerbread Design Contest Winners:

 First Place: Winans Chapel By Bridget Nugent 

Jury Comments: Superior Gingerbread Assembly — true to traditional methodology. Use of frosting as mortar is commendable. Flickering lights innovation appreciated.

 Second Place: Oh Boy What A City!

Jury Comments: Outstanding assemblage. Mr. Trashwheel and Natty Boh’s inclusion is witty and technically impressive.

Jury Comments: Outstanding use of material. Exceptional attention to detail. Historic importance plus family’s sentiment and significance greatly appreciated by jury members.
