Optimism and hope are the foundation of civilization. As architects, we embrace the potential to create a better, more resilient world that enhances lives. In this era of constant change, adaptability is crucial. We have both the opportunity and responsibility to lead with solutions that promote resilience and forward-thinking design.
AIA Baltimore remains steadfast in its mission to stay at the forefront of discussions shaping our profession and the built environment. Our collective advocacy is vital in shaping a future focused on environmental stewardship and responsible growth. In the weeks ahead, we must recognize the importance of adapting to unexpected challenges, as this is key to realizing our shared vision for the future. It’s an opportunity to innovate, learn, and find inspiration in the face of uncertainty. Let’s engage, share insights, challenges, and successes to strengthen our network and continue to mentor and empower emerging leaders to bring fresh ideas and bold visions to our field.
Last month, Morgan State University hosted the HBCU Forum, which rotates among the seven HBCUs offering Architecture programs. We were fortunate to hear from AIA President Evelyn Lee, FAIA, NOMA, and 2025 NOMA President Bryan C. Lee, FAIA, NOMA. The diverse courses at these institutions provide a well-rounded education for the architects and planners of tomorrow. Special thanks to Dean Asojo, the staff, and the students of Morgan for hosting this successful forum.
