Baltimore, MD (February 23, 2018) — Hord Coplan Macht announced today that David Hatton, AIA, has joined the education studio in Baltimore as Principal. Hatton, who has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, business development, and campus master planning, is an exciting addition to the rapidly-growing team.
As a global education leader and practitioner, Hatton’s past projects include Virginia Tech’s Academic/Food Service Building; multiple projects for Saint Joseph’s University, including the Haub School of Business and the Campus Master Plan; a new student center at University of North Carolina, Wilmington; and student housing at Western Michigan University.
“We’re excited to continue to grow our education studio with the addition of David Hatton,” said Peter Winebrenner, Education Studio Leader of Hord Coplan Macht. “From master plans to student centers and housing, he brings a great deal of experience to the team.”
Prior to joining HCM, Hatton was Executive Director of Education at CannonDesign. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Minnesota and license registration in over 15 states.
