On November 13 and 14, 2019, volunteers from Future Architects Resources (FAR)/Kids in Design, and architecture firm GWWO, Inc., participated in Junior Achievement (JA) Inspire. This two-day event at the Timonium Fairgrounds provided 8,000 eighth-grade students in Baltimore County Public Schools with an opportunity to explore career paths. The FAR team introduced students to careers in architecture and explained the necessary skills and qualities needed to become an architect.
Junior Achievement is one of the nation’s largest organizations dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. Thanks to our volunteers who generously offered their time and enthusiasm to make the architecture career booth a success.
