Baltimore, MD (April 17, 2017) – JP2 Architects welcomes Jordan Rhodes, Ryan Jacobson, Crystal McKenzie, and Hanifah Nakalembe to the firm.
Jordan Rhodes (Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Assoc.) joins the firm’s architectural staff with her Bachelor of Interior Design Technology from Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis. She also received her Master of Architecture from University of North Carolina – Charlotte. She is an Associate AIA member, a LEED Green Associate, and is currently working toward her licensure.
Ryan Jacobson (Assoc. AIA) joins the firm’s architectural staff after graduating from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan with a Masters in Architecture. Ryan is an Associate AIA member and prior to joining JP2, he and his class received an award as part of an urban design contest with CNU.
Crystal McKenzie (AIA) joins the firm’s architectural staff with her Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and brings project experience in Commercial, Mixed-Use, Workplace, Multi-Family Residential, and Advanced Technology project types. Crystal is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and NCARB accredited. She is actively involved with AIA as Former Associate Director on the Baltimore Board of Directors, past chair of AIA Baltimore Emerging Professionals Committee, as well as AIA Presidential Award recipient for Most Promising Emerging Professional.
Hanifah Nakalembe (LEED Green Assoc.) joins the firm’s architectural staff with a bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland College Park, and a master’s degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. She has a background in higher education campus projects as well as non-profit multi-family housing and community development including rehab and new construction housing. She is a LEED Green Associate and is actively working toward licensure. In May 2010, Hanifah received the Masters Project Award of Excellence for her thesis titled “Transitional Refugee Housing: Dwelling Solutions for Semi-Arid Regions.
