May 1, 2020. Baltimore, MD The Baltimore Architecture Foundation has been awarded $20,000 from the inaugural Maryland Historical Society Pathways Grant to support Doors Open Baltimore. The BAF is one of eleven organizations representing seven counties across Maryland receiving grants up to $20,000 each to expand their capacity to steward and share state history.
Doors Open is the city’s largest festival of architecture and neighborhoods and invites thousands of visitors to explore Baltimore’s hidden gems. Visitors gain access to some of the city’s most stunning spaces and make meaningful connections to the built environment through tours led by architects and designers. The organization is gearing up for a late October start for the upcoming Doors Open programming in light of COVID-19 but will remain in the planning stages until rules on social distancing are relaxed.
Doors Open 2020 is scheduled for October 3 & 4. For program updates, follow Doors Open on Instagram or Facebook.
