Registration opening mid-May for the fifth biennial Women’s Leadership Summit! This AIA National Summit will be held September 14-16, 2017 in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC with the theme “Creating Tailwinds.”
The conference features presentations and on-site tours of inspirational work by leading women architects and educators. There will be lectures and interactive workshops on the tools necessary to advance in leadership and help further greater equity in architecture. This event will bring together 400 women leaders in the architectural profession, with opportunities for students, allied professionals and the general public to attend the Friday night WiDEA lecture and pre- and post- events.
Overall Schedule:
- Thursday, Sept 14th features pre-summit tours in the afternoon, an evening welcome reception at AIA National Headquarters, followed by night-out networking meetups;
- Friday, Sept 15th features 3 sets of educational sessions, a lunchtime keynote speaker, afternoon in-studio tours, and an evening premiere WiDEA event;.
- Saturday, Sept 16th features 3 sets of educational sessions, closing remarks, afternoon post-summit tours, and ending in the evening with dine-around networking meetups.
