Climate Change + Professional Liability

Come join the AIA Baltimore Committee on the Environment and Resiliency (COTE/R) and the Practice Management Committee as we watch and discuss an AIA Trust video on climate change and professional liability.

Did you know that one of the proposed changes from the AIA Scalable Climate Action Group includes defining professional liability as including responsibility to address climate change in design? Come learn with us: What is your duty to discuss the risks of climate change with your clients, and what are the risks if you don’t? AIA has tools available to facilitate and document this client discussion, and a video series on potential risks. AIA also has contractual language available for insertion into standard AIA contracts.

The video viewing will be followed by discussion with design, engineering, and legal expertise. Come learn with us! Beer/soda/water, and popcorn will be provided (And if we’re very lucky, Ben might bring homemade ice cream!).

This is an AIA CES opportunity. 1.5 LU|HSW approved
